Winnie The Pooh Causes Bomb Scare - People are fucking retarded

Posted in Uncategorized on April 22nd, 2007

Telephones typically ring, not tick, so a man who went to the post office to pick up a novelty phone he ordered over the Internet was alarmed that the package was ticking.

It turned out that the phone - shaped like Winnie the Pooh - had a feature the customer didn’t know about: An incoming call causes Winnie’s head to spin, and the feature apparently had been activated during shipping.

The ticking that prompted evacuation of the Wright City post office Thursday morning was Winnie’s head repeatedly hitting the side of the package, said Cpl. Julie Scerine, a spokeswoman for the Missouri Highway Patrol.

Police and members of the bomb squad were called about 6:45 a.m. when the man retrieving the package noticed the unexpected sound. Wright City is about 45 miles west of St. Louis.

“It was pretty distinctly ticking,” Police Chief Don Wickenhauser said. “And he didn’t want to pick it up.”

When authorities contacted the sender, he verified that it was nothing sinister.

Scerine said authorities were both amused and relieved when they opened the package.

“I guess the moral of the story is before you send electronics, take the batteries out,” she said.

California Highway Patrol Officer Sued for Civil Rights Violations and Racist Comments

Posted in Police Brutality, Questionable Actions on April 8th, 2007

A woman of Iranian descent is suing the California Highway Patrol, alleging that an officer who stopped her for speeding accused her “people” of being responsible for the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks.

Zahra Sedaghatpour, 38, of Fremont, alleges her civil rights were violated when Officer Jon Schatmeier, 32, berated her after she asked not to be cited for traveling 79 mph on Interstate 680 last year.

“Today is Sept. 12. Do you remember Sept. 11? Do you know what happened on Sept. 11?” Schatmeier said, according to the lawsuit filed March 29 in federal court in San Francisco. “It’s people like you who killed all of our people. This is our country! Why don’t you go back to your country?”

Schatmeier told the woman to “shut up” and refused to provide a business card when she asked for one, according to the lawsuit. When the officer asked her to sign the citation, Sedaghatpour asked whether she could read it first.

The officer yelled, “I don’t have time for you foreigners to sit in your Mercedes. You think you own the road! You think you own the country,” according to the lawsuit. He also pulled her out of the car to berate her further, the lawsuit said.

A patrol supervisor arrived at the scene and told the officer to release Sedaghatpour, who then went to a hospital to be treated for bruises on her arm and leg and elbow pain, the lawsuit says. She also filed a complaint that day against the patrol, her attorney Hunter Pyle said.

“We want the officer to be held accountable,” Pyle said.

It was not immediately known whether Sedaghatpour was seeking monetary damages. A telephone message left with her attorney was not immediately returned.

A patrol spokesman refused to comment, citing pending litigation. A woman who answered the phone at the patrol said Schatmeier was unavailable for comment.

FBI Kills Own

Posted in Uncategorized, FBI on April 8th, 2007

State police captured a third bank robbery suspect Friday connected to the deadly shooting of an FBI agent who had been tracking the men.

The agent’s team had fired on the armed suspects outside a bank branch in Readington on Thursday, but the FBI said the suspects did not shoot back and the agent may have accidentally been killed by one of his own colleagues.

“Preliminarily, information suggests the agent may have been fatally wounded as a result of the accidental discharge of another agent’s weapon during a dynamic arrest situation,” the FBI said in a statement released Thursday night.

Two of the robbery suspects were captured shortly after the shooting. The third fled on foot and was arrested Friday morning in Branchburg, State Police Lt. Gerald Lewis said.

He had no futher details on the arrest. Some 300 officers had been searching for the suspect, identified as Francisco Herrera-Genao, 22, of New Brunswick.

Special Agent Barry Lee Bush, assigned to the FBI’s Newark office, had been searching for suspects believed to be responsible for at least four bank robberies, the FBI said. In two of robberies, the suspects had fired assault weapons while inside the bank, the agency said.

Pedro Ruiz, special agent in charge of the FBI’s Newark office, said the suspects captured Thursday had two assault rifles and a handgun with them but didn’t fire when Bush and the other agents confronted them outside a PNC Bank branch.

Investigators from the agency’s Inspection Division have been assigned to investigate the shooting, the FBI said. Ruiz said he did not yet know how many shots were fired and would not elaborate on what led the agents to shoot.

The men arrested outside the Readington bank in north-central New Jersey were identified as Wilfredo Berrios, 28, and Michael Cruz, 21, both of New Brunswick. Both were to be charged with attempted armed robbery, the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Newark said.

The FBI had started investigating Berrios, Cruz and Herrera-Genao after a March 2 bank robbery. A surveillance camera at a shopping center caught the masked gunmen abandoning a stolen Honda they had used in the robbery and getting into their “switch car,” a rental vehicle that was traced to Berrios, according to the criminal complaint released by the U.S. Attorney’s Office.

After his arrest, Cruz said the men were preparing to rob the Readington bank, according to the complaint. Cruz also said he, Berrios, Herrera-Genao and Efrain Lynn, 21, of New Brunswick, had robbed a bank in South Brunswick on March 16, the complaint said.

Lynn was arrested Thursday on a warrant unrelated to the bank robberies, federal prosecutors said.

It was not immediately clear if the men had attorneys who could comment. Telephone listings for the men could not be located.

Witnesses in Readington described a chaotic scene as the gunfire broke out Thursday.

Brian Agans, who works in an engine shop across from the bank, said he heard a “pop, pop, pop.” He ran outside to make sure a mechanic wasn’t having a problem with equipment, but instead saw law enforcement swarming.

“All hell was breaking loose. I’ve never seen so many police and authorities take action ever in my life,” he said.

Bush joined the FBI in August of 1987, serving in Kansas City and transferring to Newark in 1991. He is survived by a wife and two grown children, the FBI said.

Associated Press writers Chris Newmarker, Angela Delli Santi and Tom Hester Jr. in Trenton, and Jeffrey Gold in Newark contributed to this report.

Feds find cops guilty

Posted in Uncategorized on April 7th, 2007

ALBUQUERQUE (AP) - A federal jury on Monday found a former corrections officer guilty of assaulting two prisoners in Las Cruces and Grants.

John Gould was convicted of assaulting a prisoner at the Doña Ana County Detention Center in October 2002 and another inmate at the Cibola County Detention Center in March 2004.

He also was convicted of obstructing justice.

He had been accused of falsifying reports to cover up the crimes.

No sentencing date has been set.

Gould faces up to ten years in prison and a $250,000 fine on each of four convictions.

The Department of Justice says two convictions were related to the assaults and two were for obstructing justice.

These are my comments on this story :

This is the kind of story that the average reader rarely gets to read. Corruption by law enforcement. Some law enforcement officers feel that just because they have a badge, that they can get away with anything. Any many actually do.

This goes to prove that there are some very bad cops out there. Cops that take the law into their own hands and then try to cover it up their wrongdoings. It happens every day. You and I just do not hear about it.

Some law enforcement cadets that are accepted into the Law Enforcement Academy have some serious psychological problems. Some are able to slip by all of the screening and fake their real emotions and feelings. Not to mention their own insecurities and personal vendettas.

These same people once they become sworn officers of the law become more dangerous that the criminals that they will eventually arrest. They have this feeling that since they have the badge that they can get away with anything they want. After all, whom are they going to believe… the “alleged” criminal or the so-called upstanding cop? It is all a fraud that is allowed to happen. Cops protect cops. Unless the FBI as in this case steps in to investigate.

How many cases of abuse and corruption go un-noticed? How many complaints of prisoner abuse get swept under the rug by the same Sheriffs and Police Chiefs just to protect “their” officers. Who are the real criminals in these cases? Of course, to prove abuse or corruption, a person needs a good lawyer willing to investigate and file the charges. It takes money, and the average prisoner usually does not have two pennies to rub together much less hire an attorney.

So what really happens? The cops continue to abuse their authority and abuse people under the “color of authority.” The cops themselves know that their senior officers protect them, and that is why they are allowed to abuse prisoners. These are the stories that need to be flushed out.

I assure you, there are police officers and Deputy Sheriffs that as corrupt as they come, yet are protected by their superiors. It is all a hush hush deal.”Keep it quiet. Do not let this leak out to the press.”

So who loses? The alleged suspect loses. When law enforcement arrests someone, they act as if they have an iron clad,”righteous collar. They become judge and jury by the way they act and treat the alleged suspect. Moreover, the worse part is that they get away with it time and time again. Who is looking? Who is going to tell when another cop abuses a prisoner? Cops protect cops, and it is time to flush these crooks out before they are allowed to continue to abuse the people that they are duly sworn to protect.

My entire family is in law enforcement here in Las Cruces. I hear the stories of abuse. I have listened to the inside details of corruption by fellow officers. It is not entirely a secret. However, to prove it, takes time, a good lawyers. Going up against the City or the County is tough business. They know it, and I know it. It is a game of chess. Who really wins? I will tell you who. The cops do. Why? Because they have, the badge and they have the best protection ever. Cops protecting cops. It is as historic as life itself. But does it really have to be this way? Are there any honest cops anymore?

Where are the Alphonse Persico’s (FAMOUS NY CITY COP WHO TOLD THE TRUTH) in this country? Cops who stood up and told the truth about corruption and abuse under color of authority? I am just looking for ONE. Just ONE who is willing to stand up and tell the truth of what REALLY happens when a suspect is arrested and taken to the county detention center.

Remember these guys are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. However, the cops have their own saying:”Guilty until proven innocent.”

I assure you that they will do all that they can to prove someone guilty even if it means to manufacture evidence. How do I know? I have been there. I have been on both sides of the law. I have been there too many times to know what really takes place. I have seen it with my own eyes.

There are good cops, somewhere. Do not get me wrong. I am just looking for one. One that will treat a suspect as if he is possibly innocent and not rough handle him/her just because they can and can get away with it.

I am just looking for ONE cop who will give a suspect the benefit of the doubt and leave it in the hands of the judge and the jury, and not take it upon him/her self to make a mockery of the suspect while booking him in the county detention facility.

I am just looking for one who will just do their job, and not write police reports that are full of personal judgmental in order to “secure a conviction.”

That is really the name of the game.”Secure a Conviction.” I have been to Roll Call after Roll Call… and not a day goes by that this is not said:”Remember, it is US against them. Make sure you cover all of the bases in your reports to insure a conviction.” Does this mean: Lie if you have to… but make sure your reports stands up in court. As I said, it is a game of chess.

There are two types of Justice in America. Rich man’s justice and poor man’s justice. If you have, a high profile lawyer or a ten man defense team that will cost you millions (O.J. Simpson)”Justice is for sale.”

However, if you are like me… an average poor guy just trying to live… you can kiss your behind good by. You will not have a chance in hell. And the truth will never be heard.

Nevertheless, it does not end there. Once a person is convicted and goes to prison, it is still not over. When he/she gets out… it is yet a continuation of the same. Once convicted… you will pay for the rest of your life. Don’t let them fool you. Convicted felons NEVER pay their debt to society. Society will never let us have a real Second Chance.

Oh, but that is yet another story still to be told. Stay tuned…. it is not over yet!

March 9, 2007 Orlando, Florida

On March 9, 2007 after the Leftover Crack/Citizen Fish/Witch Hunt show at
the Back Booth in Orlando Florida…

As show goers made their way out of the Back Booth after the Leftover Crack
show, police suddenly converged on the scene. A young girl, around the age
of 18, was standing against the wall of the venue with a friend, getting
some much-needed fresh air. Within minutes, the girl found herself being
viciously thrown to the ground by the police. She screamed as loud as she
could for help, while one cop handcuffed her and dragged her from the
sidewalk into the street. A friend of the girl pleaded with the police to
stop hurting her, but was violently thrown against a pole by the same
officer. This is just one account of at least a dozen unjust arrests and
authority abuses that took place that night.

About 12 young people who attended the show that evening were unjustly
arrested, and some are being charged with felonies. There were hundreds of
people outside the show who witnessed the police brutality that evening. I,
being one of them, saw numerous people being attacked and arrested by the
police for doing absolutely nothing.

A group of us are in the process of collecting information regarding the
incident in effort to support the folks who were brutalized by the police.
For anyone that saw these events unfold, this is your chance to stand up and
take action against an unjust system that uses police brutality as a weapon.

If you or anyone you know was arrested and/or victimized outside the Back
Booth after the Leftover Crack show on March 9th, please write to Nicole and
Bridge at: orlandolegalinfo@yahoo.com for legal support. If you or anyone
you know has relevant information, such as photographs, videos, eye witness
statements, etc., documenting the police brutality, please contact us. We
promise to keep your involvement confidential and anonymous. Without this
information these folks are defenseless in the courtroom. Please take
action now.
